Camp

Construction of the Kalia camp commenced in early 2006. The camp is located approximately 2km south of the central part of Kalia I and was expanded during 2007 / 8 to support the resources required for the drilling programme, site infrastructure and the camp currently has the following facilities;

  • Accommodation for up to 50 people
  • Messing and kitchen facilities to meet the accommodation requirements
  • Covered warehousing facilities
  • Parking areas for all on site equipment
  • Maintenance facilities to maintain the equipment
  • Core storage and assessment facilities
  • Medical facilities and onsite doctor
  • Fully operational and serviced office
  • Generators
  • Diesel storage
  • Potable water system
  • Sewerage system
  • Relaxation and social under cover areas
  • Security
  • Multiple access gates

Kalia I and Surrounding Access and Surrounding Access

Bellzone has developed and maintains in excess of 150km of road network across Kalia I and Kalia II and the surrounding areas. The roads were developed by D9 caterpillar bulldozers.

The road network provides access to the iron mineralisation and access for drill rigs and support equipment.
