The Kalia iron resource is located 360km east, by road, from the coastal capital of Conakry and 76km west, by road, from the regional town of Faranah, in Guinea, West Africa (Figure 1). The Kalia iron resource is accessible by means of the bitumen road that runs east from Conakry to Faranah, which passes through the towns of Kindia and Mamou.

Tenure

In November 2005 Bellzone was granted access to explore for Iron Ore on the Permit 05/5755 by the Government of the Republic of Guinea. This Permit had an area of 1,166km2. In June 2006 an additional Iron Ore exploration Permit 06/3077 was granted. This permit has an area of 1,967km2 and is adjacent to permit 05/5755.

Figure 2 illustrates the location of the tenements and Figure 3 outlines the current tenement area of 1,381km2.

The exploration permit 05/5755 was renewed in September 2008. In accordance with the laws in force of the Republic of Guinea, the exploration area was reduced by 50%. The new permit, 08/3687 has an area of 573km2 in which the Kalia Iron Ore Body is located. (Refer to Table 1 and Figure 3).

The exploration permit 06/3077 was renewed in October 2009. In accordance with the laws in force of the Republic of Guinea, the exploration area was reduced by at least 50% (Actual reduction was 59%). The new permit, 09/2801

In addition to the Iron Ore exploration permit, Bellzone has been granted an exploration permit, 09/0930, for Polymetals over the same area as permit 08/3687.
